Next Step Living, Inc, a pioneering energy efficiency company based in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a thoughtful, experienced, and driven Institutional Program Manager skilled in developing and maintaining institutional relationships, analyzing client performance data, managing customer relationships, events, and developing client ready material. The Institutional Program Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new partnerships within the financial services, real estate and other defined categories. The ideal candidate will be excited to work in a young growth company environment and bring a strong entrepreneurial ‘can do’ attitude.


· Identify, prospect and engage with medium to large organizations in the financial services, real estate and other key vertical segments

· Develop, cultivate and grow institutional relationships, primarily with medium to large sized businesses to create co-branded campaigns to their Massachusetts employees, customers and membership base

· Optimize relationships to identify key areas of opportunity and leverage points

· Plan, coordinate and conduct corporate workshops, events and product driven initiatives

· Represent NSL at customer functions, conferences, fairs and networking events (will definitely include occasional evenings and weekend coverage)

· Conduct sales analysis and produce performance reports both internal and customer facing

· Identify new and innovative approaches and techniques to most effectively drive results through corporate partnerships


· 2+ years of institutional sales experience

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, deadlines and interruptions

· Ideal candidate will have CRM experience as a database user of Salesforce or something comparable

· Strong business and project management skills, creativity and ingenuity in developing successful strategies, and demonstrated leadership skills

· Building trade/experience not a requirement, but is helpful

· Clearly demonstrate experience and/or adaptability to succeed in a young growth company environment --- a do’er, solutions oriented, strong listener, humble disposition

· Strong organizational skills

· Strategic thinker, innovator, self-starter

· Possess a high degree of personal integrity and strong work ethic

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary

· Experienced and comfortable with critical software tools (e.g., MS Office tools, Salesforce type CRM)
