TITLE OF ROLE: Instructional Design Intern

WORKGROUP: Learning Offerings

SUPERVISOR'S TITLE: Instructional Design Team Lead

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: The primary responsibility of this role is converting existing ASQ course content into our Learning Content Management System. Candidates will have the flexibility of working between 8 to 20 hours per week depending on their individual schedule.

SKILLS: Demonstrated work ethic and communication skills; understanding of quality principles, continuous learning, customer focus, and teamwork and partnering skills. Demonstrated capacity for embracing change and learning new technologies. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively within groups and one-on-one situations are required. Must have proficiency with PC’s and related software as well as the ability to adhere to multiple deadlines.

EDUCATION: Must be currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program concentrating on instructional design.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one to two years’ experience in training program and curriculum development is required. Must have worked through and managed instructional design processes (ADDIE or similar) for instructor-led and e-learning and possess prior supervisory experience with adjunct faculty and internal professional staff. Experience with Program development software and authoring tools desired. Experience in translating learning from instructor-led format to e-based is desired.
