Consult with faculty to identify instructional technology needs and provide support for integration of sound instructional design principles and practices into new and existing courses. Work as part of the Teaching and Learning Services team to provide planning, implementation and ongoing support for new and existing eLearning services including (but not limited to) best practices related to development and teaching of online courses and support programs for faculty teaching online. Of high priority is the ability to build constructive relationships with faculty adopting these technologies and services.

The ideal candidate is flexible, creative, solution-oriented, resourceful, agile, takes initiative and is willing to explore new areas while being connected to trends and developments in the field.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (preferably in education, instructional design, or related field) and four years of experience in information technology field; or Associate's and six years; or combination of education and experience equal to eight years. Experience includes a minimum of two years experience in faculty development and instructional technology support. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Experience in higher education environment, online teaching, and expertise in the Blackboard Learning Management System a strong preference.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Masters degree in instructional technology, education, or related field. Online teaching experience; proven expertise in design and development of faculty development programs, client support, and evaluation of new instructional technologies. Position assumes an ability to build constructive relationships with faculty and instructional staff and to help them integrate technology into the teaching/learning process.

Experience with project management tools and methodologies, process improvement and technology management practices such as ITIL and Six Sigma.

Experience coordinating student workers to accomplish operational and project goals.

Networked computers and peripherals; mobile communication devices; desktop computers and applications; Mac and PC platforms

Work as part of Teaching and Learning Services team to develop and implement instructional design best practices for new and existing eLearning services. Consult with faculty to implement specific instructional projects. Facilitate the integration of instructional technologies into new and existing courses. Support faculty in the development and teaching of online courses.

Identify, develop, and promote best practices for integrating AT-supported instructional technologies into teaching and learning. Serve as subject matter expert in working with training and documentation team to design and implement appropriate training and support documentation for AT-supported services. Assist in the evaluation, testing, and support of the Blackboard Learn System and related eLearning applications.

Participate in the planning and implementation of faculty development events, programs, focus groups, seminars, and needs assessments that promote and support the effective integration of instructional technology and eLearning services into teaching and learning.

Provide second level support as required to IT Service Desk and student support team.

Explore and evaluate developing eLearning technologies for potential impact on teaching and learning at UNH as part of AT research and development process for implementing relevant new and emerging technologies. Seek out and participate in appropriate professional development activities to stay current in the field of eLearning.

Participate in strategic planning and goal setting for AT instructional technologies and eLearning services. Help articulate the mission of Teaching and Learning Services, the Instructional Development Center and other AT groups. Work to implement management processes identified by IT leadership.
