Part-time, average 27 hours per week. Mon-Fri, flexible typically between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Average hours per week may be flexed to accommodate peak times but hours not to exceed 27 per week.

JOB SUMMARY: This position collaborates with faculty and staff to facilitate initiatives related to eLearning. This position also ensures the success of the day-to-day operations of the Center for eLearning.
Manage instructional projects, incorporating instructional design principles and practices that utilize pedagogical principles and learning theories to foster the ongoing development and delivery of quality online courses and programs.
Collaborate with faculty to incorporate technology that will enhance teaching and learning in their curricula.
Assist with the administration of the learning management system and related processes.
Contribute to the development and implementation of sound workplace practices to automate services and facilitate communication.
Support the development and delivery of Center for eLearning workshops and training to support the advancement of online and related technologies.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the implementation of online student support services.
Coordination of the Michigan Virtual Learning Collaborative (VLC) enrollment process.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the College, and specifically the Center for eLearning, strategic and operational plans.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: This position reports to the Online and Learning Technologies Coordinator.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree and one year of prior experience in the application of technology in instruction. One year experience learning, developing, and/or teaching in the online environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of experience in instructional design approaches preferred. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheeting, and database management. Experience with multimedia, web development, video/podcasting, and learning management system preferred. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
