Instructional Technology at St. Edward's University seeks a dynamic Instructional Technology Training Coordinator to provide training on supported software applications to faculty, staff and students. The Instructional Technology Training Coordinator reports to the Instructional Technology Computer Competencies and Training Manager.

Collaborate with faculty to provide application training workshops for students in their classes.

Teach computer workshops using interactive, hands-on classroom methodology in an iMac dual-boot Windows 7 / Mac OS X computer environment.

Offer consulting and training on projects involving web and social media tools and supported software.

Provide training and support to faculty, staff, and students on ERP and administrative software systems.

Design, develop, assess and recommend new methods of instruction, such as online training and consultation for delivering workshops and materials.

Develop, maintain and update online, video and printed documentation for existing and new computer classes and programs.

Evaluate external technical training sites and courses.

Provide one-on-one skills training to faculty, staff and students.

Assist in marketing the training program and classes.

Assist in the management of the Computer Competencies requirement program.

Assist in training lab maintenance (install software, setup/breakdown computers, move/lift furniture & computers, etc.)

Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Teaching experience in a classroom environment required.

Ability to use both the Macintosh and Windows operating systems required.

Strong oral and written communications skills required. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues with different areas and levels of technical expertise.

Strong organizational skills, proven ability to manage time and priorities, ability to complete complex projects and tasks with attention to detail required.

Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies, tools, techniques and methodologies required.

Ability to comply with workplace guidelines and attendance required.

Must be able to work occasional nights & weekends.

Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required.

Experience with blogging, screencasting, podcasting, and technical writing preferred.

Knowledge and proficiency using /teaching the following preferred:

Microsoft Office 2010 and Mac Office 2011: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Project, Visio

Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest,

Blogging software such as WordPress, Blogger, etc.

Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 and 6: Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

Web Development: HTML/XHTML, CSS, HTML 5, CSS3, web accessibility, SEO

Google Docs and Sites

Mac iLife: iWeb, iMovie, iPhoto, GarageBand

Documentation tools: Camtasia, SnagIt, ScreenSteps
