The graduate instructor position typically teaches 5 staggered business communications classes per year (likely including the summer term for additional compensation, pending budgetary sufficiency). In addition to classroom activities, significant supplemental academic work assignments are required. These supplemental activities include: evaluation of written assignments and oral presentations in selected other graduate business courses, tracking student progress, and collaboration with other college faculty, and academic service assignments. Graduate instructors may be assigned to teach undergraduate courses on occasion. Instructors must maintain academically qualified faculty status for AACSB accreditation. The anticipated start date is August 2013.

Minimum Qualifications: A Doctoral degree in Rhetoric, Communication, or English; and college teaching experience in a communications-related field. Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience outside of an educational setting in business communications practice and experience teaching online.
