Due to success and program growth we are in need of an additional instructor.
This position is located at Shindand Air Base in Afghanistan.
A team of instructors will provide all aspects of Initial Entry Rotary Wing (IERW) flight training to Afghan Air Force (AAF) personnel using US provided and maintained MD-530F aircraft.
Training will be modeled after the US Army IERW training. Students will train to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) instrument flight rules (IFR) and visual flight rules (VFR) day/night standards as part of their preparation for follow-on RW aircraft qualification programs.
Services include ground, simulated flight & flight training. The AAF RW FTS will produce military-certified RW Pilots and Instructor Pilots that are safe, proficient and capable in standard RW flight planning, flight maneuvers, navigation procedures, and emergency procedures.
The instructor team will develop and execute all processes, procedures, scheduling, policies, instruction and syllabi required for basic RW flight and ground training (including simulation).
Additionally, the team will develop a training program to develop AAF RW instructors that will replace the need for contractor support, thus leaving the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GoIRA) an indigenous and enduring RW pilot qualification capability
