Provides competency-based quality instruction in accordance with the stated philosophy and objectives of the College in classroom, lab and clinical settings. Assignment may include evening or off-campus teaching, individualized and/or competency-based instruction and/or online distance learning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in TESOL, TESL, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics or related field with coursework directly related to ESL instruction. Two years of college ESL teaching experience. Ability to function effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values, and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with non-credit and credit Intensive English Language programs, including curriculum development, teacher training, and assessment. Demonstrated record of academic leadership. Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills. Ability to use and apply alternative delivery systems to enhance learning. Ability to speak a language in addition to English.
