Collateral Instructor
s; Non-tenure-track, nine month position in the Department of Health and Human Performance; emphasis in Exercise Science or Physiology of Exercise. Teach undergraduate Exercise Science and/or Physiology of Exercise courses; advise undergraduates; meet service expectations of the department, school, university, community and profession; support research activities in the Health and Human Performance Department.

Qualifications: Required: Earned Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field; record of teaching and service activities in higher education; competence in teaching undergraduate courses in content areas such as Physiology of Exercise, Sport Nutrition, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, and Laboratory Techniques in Exercise Science; American College of Sports Medicine Certification (Health Fitness Specialist or Clinical Exercise Specialist) or National Strength and Conditioning Association Certification (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist). Preferred: Earned Doctorate in Exercise Physiology, experience advising undergraduate students, supervising Clinical Experiences, and directing undergraduate student research. Faculty member must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
