SBM Atlantia, Inc. is currently recruiting for Instrumentation and Controls Support Engineers. In this role you will be responsible for: Providing detailed engineering on jack-ups, semi-submersible drilling rigs, drill ships, and vessels; PID development; preparing instrument index database, IO list, instrument specifications, datasheets, instrument sizing calculations, and voltage drop calculations; performing technical evaluations, vendor document review, and preparing block and loop diagrams; preparing bill of materials and procurement of instrument and control equipment; providing detailed engineering including thruster control systems, vessel management control systems, ballast control systems, power management control systems, ESD, and fire and gas control systems; providing engineering support during construction both from office and directly in the field; addressing all technical queries from the site construction team and providing the required technical clarifications from the original design; specifying and purchasing any site required instrumentation and control hardware necessary to guarantee the safe and reliable operation of the instrumentation systems.
REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in engineering project support. In lieu, we would accept a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience in engineering project support.
