CITGO Refining & Chemicals is seeking experienced and qualified candidates who can provide expertise in the maintenance field that will support the ongoing operations at the Corpus Christi Refinery.
As an Instrumentman 1 st Class, duties include troubleshooting and repairing operational problems in instrumentation (transmitters, valves, controllers, fired equipment, etc.).
Applicants must be a first class Instrument Technician with 10 years instrument maintenance experience in a refinery or petrochemical plant OR have a minimum 2 year technical degree in instrumentation.
Qualified candidates must successfully pass CITGO’s first class craft test.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
have ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
have ability to read and understand P&IDs and electrical schematics
Honeywell 2020 communication device and Documint software
Hart and Fieldbus protocol
Ultrasonic, Radar, and Nuclear Measurement devices
Fisher and Masonelian control valves
Honeywell DCS Systems
The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting pneumatic and electronic instrumentation using standard test equipment as well as smart communication devices, transmitter programming and networking software, and PLC programming software.
