Reviews insurance claim forms and related documents for completeness. Calls or writes insured or other involved persons for missing information and posts or attaches information to claim file. Calculates amount of claims. Transmits routine claims for payment or advises claims supervisor if further investigation is indicated. Assists with monthly statements. Answers question and requests by insurance companies, other outside agencies and patients.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, the ability to use the internet for research and communications and the ability to communicate effectively are required. Candidate must be proficient in clerical skills to include computer and telephone etiquette.
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent (e.g. GED) required.
