DESCRIPTION

The Insurance Customer Service Representative's primary responsibility is to contact and screen health insurance leads in order to turn them into qualified prospects for the Sales Representative. The position is expected to efficiently process and develop leads in order to maximize the phone time of the Sales Representative.

Training Hours (classes begin in September): Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 8:00pm - Possibility of overtime on Holidays/Saturdays

DUTIES

Initiate outbound contact to prospective customers via provided internet and phone leads
Screen applicants for possible health issues and other barriers to sale
Transfer prospects to appropriate sales representative for facilitation of sale and application process

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1 year of previous call center experience in a customer service or sales setting
Working knowledge of Insurance Sales preferred
Working knowledge of federal and state mandates relating to health insurance sales and call center requirements
Ability to comfortably navigate windows based software programs and tools
High School diploma or equivalent required
Professional and pleasant phone demeanor
Ability to effectively communicate information according to defined processes
Ability to maintain professionalism and ethics standards at all times
