Job Description:

The Insurance Follow-up Rep will provide extensive support service covering all aspects of claims management including review, initiation, completion, submission and direct follow-up to the appropriate third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow-up and resolution of outstanding accounts receivable balances
  • Responding to payer correspondence
  • Submitting appeals for denied claims
  • Processing requests for insurance payment retractions
  • Research and resolve overpayments
  • Investigate electronic claim rejections
  • May undertake special projects as assigned
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Knowledge of third party billing rules and regulations
  • Working knowledge of coding and medical terminology
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adopt to changes in policies, regulations and procedures is essential
  • Attention to detail and ability to interact effectively with others
  • Ability to consistently meet production and quality goals
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word
