Responsible for the sales of stop loss insurance and affiliated products, programs and services through the MGU network; researches and identifies potential new MGUs, and cross sells opportunities to new and existing clients; ensures sales goals are met through excellent programs and customer service; fosters relationships with existing clients by developing and executing proactive, creative and ongoing contact initiatives; works with senior personnel at client organizations to ensure service needs are met; identifies cross selling opportunities to new and existing clients; meets assigned sales goals within the allotted budget; acts as liaison between the clients, home office staff and field reps to assist MGUs with questions regarding products, programs, and customer service; collaborates with Stop Loss team members; attends MGU program meetings, reinsurers and industry meetings/events.
Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience; 5+ years sales and sales management experience with a demonstrated record of success in the Stop Loss marketplace; 2 years broker/agency experience; excellent communication skills; able to remain open-minded and effectively change direction when required; prepare for emerging customer needs and manage multiple projects in a meaningful and practical way; must be available to work flexible hours and travel extensively (40%-60%) with overnight stays; valid driver’s license. MGU experience and 4+ years broker/agency experience preferred.

Transamerica’s pay ranges are competitive and are based on the external labor market. An annual bonus opportunity may be available to regular employees.
