Requirements Analysis

Formulate and define the objectives and scope of business systems.

Work with project teams to make sure that project and task requests are complete, accurate, and aligned with company goals and priorities.

System Design

Analyze business processes and requirements to identify improvement opportunities.

Describe desired features and operations in detail, including screen layouts, business rules, process diagrams, pseudo-code, and other documentation.

Application Development

Develop application source code

When applicable, employ prototyping of applications.

System Testing

Incorporate iterative user testing of designs in a rapid application development approach.

Unit testing at the individual module level

System testing of the complete application


Migration to production

Product-level system testing

Documentation turnover

Development with Microsoft BizTalk Server to integrate various systems.

Post-Implementation Support and Maintenance, including documentation updates.

Manage and participate in projects using the Project Methodology.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related discipline required

Software Development Certification in .NET, Microsoft SQL, or other Windows development tools preferred

Minimum 3 years of Application Development experience.

Required Skills/Experience:
BizTalk or other Enterprise Service Bus development tool

VB.NET or C#

Visual Studio 2008/2010

XML, XSLT, Flat Files (CSV, Fixed-Width)

Messaging, Schemas, Mappings/Transformations, Pipelines

SQL Server

Preferred Skills/Experience:
WCF, Web Services (SOAP, REST), EDI, TFS, SSIS, Workflow Foundation, Automated Testing

Well organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Able to develop and follow-up on plans; meet deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment

Solid understanding of business functional areas, business management areas, and data analysis

Strong verbal and technical written communication skills. Ability to accurately and clearly present new information and work collaboratively to get projects completed

Robust listening, interpersonal and relationship building skills; able to work cross functionally with other departments. Strong customer service focus

Strong analytical skills. Ability to assess situations using statistical and qualitative analysis and make recommendations and/or decisions to meet business needs

Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to take ownership of a project and effectively prioritize work to meet business requirements. Strongly motivated with sense of urgency
