A new position has arisen in our Houston office for an Integrity Engineering Specialist.
The successful candidate will work within a team responsible for the development and execution of integrity management processes for subsea equipment, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines utilized in oil and gas production systems.
Primary responsibilities are:
  • Act as discipline expert in the field of integrity management for subsea equipment, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF).
  • Liaising with clients and engineers for coordinating integrity activities.
  • Input into and technical review of risk-based integrity assessment.
  • Development of inspection work packages and techniques.
  • Technical review of inspection findings and comment on inspection reports.
  • Identification, assessment, and categorization of anomalies and other integrity issues.
  • Review and assessment of key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Review and comment on condition assessment reports and fit-for-service assessments.
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing integrity management mitigations including identification of new technology.
  • Ensuring continuous adherence with relevant codes & standards including industry best practices.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate integrity management functions.
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, ocean engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A solid understanding of offshore oil and gas facilities; especially subsea equipment (Trees, UTAs, PLET/PLEM, Manifolds), umbilicals, risers, and flowlines.
  • 7 to 10 years relevant industry experience in the offshore industry, including integrity assurance activities and verification processes.
  • A good understanding of maintenance/inspection practices and techniques including NDT.
  • A good understanding of risk assessment methods, asset integrity processes, qualitative and quantitative criticality studies, FMECA and root cause analysis.
  • A detailed working knowledge of codes and standards including applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in the processes of risk-based integrity assessment, subsea monitoring systems, and pigging.
  • Engineering experience with any of; structural strength and fatigue analysis, flow assurance, cathodic protection, and corrosion.
  • Adept in continuous appraisal and improvement of processes.
  • Living in, or willing and able to relocate to Houston, Texas.
  • Engineering experience in both an office and an operational capacity is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer, Chartered engineer or equivalent is a plus.
  • Living in, or willing and able to relocate to Houston, Texas.
