13-090: Intelligence Analyst Intern
The Delex Internship program is an exciting opportunity for students to get exposure to projects and opportunities that will provide practical work experience in a professional work environment. The intern will be exposed to multiple business disciplines to include all-source intelligence analysis, IT support and services, and consulting studies and analysis in support of our premier government customers. This individual will be given the opportunity to learn from subject matter experts in these fields.
The Intern will gain knowledge and background on intelligence topics and disciplines, and gain an enhanced understanding of the structure and processes of the U.S. Intelligence Community. The intern will conduct independent research and coordinate results in collaboration with analysts within the Delex organization. This opportunity involves research, analysis and the presentation of findings that enable us to provide valuable information to our customers and surrounding intelligence community members. This internship will involve a great deal of independent work under the guidance of a senior level supervisor and mentor.
Specific Duties May Include:
•Maritime Security Analysis: Perform multi-disciplinary; all source information fusion of global commercial maritime security information provided by U.S. government and international agencies and organizations. Develop concise, cogent, and timely regionally and topically aligned fused information products for dissemination to the commercial maritime industry.
•Naval Intelligence Support: Provide basic research and analysis support for Delex customers in the naval and expeditionary warfare disciplines.
•Market Research: Perform basic market research on companies and agencies. For private companies, identify core capabilities, services, and technologies in the defense and intelligence communities as well as current customers. For agencies, identify core services support requirements as well as future requirements, and identify critical technologies related to each agencies mission.
•White Paper Development: Draft 2-5 page white paper’s outlining Delex’s unique capabilities and how they relate to a specific agency, proposal, or mission.
•Proposal Support: Participate in the development of company proposal responses.
•Customer Engagement: Support business development meetings with potential clients and partner companies.
•Future Planning: Develop a 2-5 page white paper outlining possible future service offerings for Delex in support of the intelligence community.
•Preparing and presenting briefings directly related to the work assigned
•Make or assist in making oral or written presentations to management

•Degree candidates in an intelligence or related discipline with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale will qualify for the program
•Experience: Students entering their junior year of their college program will have a HS diploma, and related courses based on college curriculum
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
•Extremely strong writing skills, including the ability to quickly and effectively
summarize information from multiple sources into concise analytical assessments
•Ability to self-motivate and work independently
•Excellent attention to detail
•Strong technical aptitude and willingness to continue to learn
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
