Support to the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Office of Middle East and North Africa Analysis (MNA) by providing substantive expertise in the areas of Military Leadership and Security Analysis and Military Capabilities Analysis.
Work critical Military Leadership/Security Analysis and Military Capabilities Analysis issues. Given recent events throughout the Middle East and North Africa, the need for greater, in-depth understanding of these issues in this critical region of the world has become even more urgent.
Although the initial focus of this effort will be for Military Leadership and Security Analysis as well as Military Capabilities Analysis as stated above, the requirements may shift in the future and focus on other countries and issues in MNA’s Area or Responsibility (AOR).
Assist in covering increased analytical requirements for Military Leadership and Security Analysis and Military Capabilities Analysis throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa region.
Assist MNA in performing analysis and assessments on the following issues:
• Military Leadership Intentions, Civil Military Relations and Leadership Ascension, Security and Stability issues
• Military Capabilities all-source analysis
• Political issues to include militant Islamic organizations and theory
• Order of Battle
• Medical Intelligence and Counternarcotics analysis, especially the impact of that usage on military capabilities
• Infrastructure analysis focusing on water, economics, energy, military infrastructure and transportation/logistics issues
• Collection Management Support
Mid level analytical experience at Federal, State, Local level; intelligence planner at the COCOM or higher; potential travel involved; candidate must be able to successfully complete a CI Polygraph.
Familiarity and previous use of analytic tools and exposure to new analytic methodologies is required.
Analysts have a minimum 5 years of related Intelligence experience, with a preference for the Office of Middle East and North Africa Analysis (MNA) with substantive expertise in the
areas of Military Leadership and Security Analysis and Military Capabilities Analysis. CI, CE investigations and/or CT experience with a strong emphasis in analysis. Preferred candidates will have analytic training and experience in but not limited to the following areas: Order of Battle; Medical Intelligence analysis; Counter Narcotics analysis; Energy analysis; Transportation/Logistics analysis; Defense Economics analysis and Hydrology analysis.
