Is your design methodology driven by context? As Interactive Art Director, you will be responsible for concept and development of experiences in the digital space – including websites, interactive, rich media units, video, banners, games and whatever else you can dream up. B&J designers are versatile and multi-faceted. A deep passion for solving problems with creativity and style and a strong grasp of web technologies and tools is expected — as is a team-oriented mentality and a healthy respect for the role your work plays in the broader integrated experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to understand marketing objectives, translate them into creative solutions and persuasively present those solutions to peers and clients

Be accountable for the quality of day-to-day creative assets as well as long-term strategic projects

Interact with clients to establish good professional relationships and effectively present and sell creative work

Collaborate with writers, developers, strategists etc. to ensure the best digital result conceptually and creatively

Assist the Creative Director and Project Manager in ensuring creative deadlines are met

6+ years of interactive design experience

Team player who creates opportunities for innovation and excellence

Deep understanding of design principles (conceptualize and design web experiences, including wireframes and UX mapping)

A solid understanding of HTML/CSS, Javascript

Working knowledge of ActionScript

Specialized knowledge of all design software

Stay up-to-date on new trends and ideologies in the digital world

Time management: ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines

Experience with online media, social networks, rich media and digital trends

Comfortable working as a creative leader with clients

And, of course:
Strong online portfolio with working examples

Strong leadership illustrated through example

A passion for design, with an eye for detail, a good understanding of visual hierarchy and usability

Able to work independently in a deadline-sensitive and fast-paced environment

Maintain high level of design quality and strong work ethic

Attention to detail and superb skill with typography, layout and color

Confidence, not arrogance

A distinct sense of humor
