Intermediate Designer needed for an on-site position working directly with a specific client. Designer will be working in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Job Description:
The Intermediate Designer will work directly with the Client team assisting on the design and documentation of US corporate projects with direction and oversight from the Client. The Intermediate Designer's role will vary depending on the nature and size of the projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist, collaborate and initiate ideas with the project team in the design process (developing ideas, bringing ideas to the table) and in the production of interior architectural design and construction documents on a variety of corporate office interiors projects
Assist and collaborate with the project team in producing presentation materials and in presenting designs to clients and other consultants
Assist and collaborate with the project team in conducting construction-phase activities including shop drawing review, requests for information, drawing and document upkeep, project record-keeping
Interacting with various consultants on projects
Developing interior design resources (vendors, professional sources) ยท Job Qualifications:
College-level degree required (architecture, interior design or related field)
Min. 4 years experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience required in sourcing and documenting FF&E design and/or selection & documentation of interior architectural finishes
Experience with CAD, InDesign, Sketch Up, Illustrator, Photoshop, and hand sketching
Must be productive, flexible, and team-oriented
Must be detail oriented and thorough
Must meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of all work produced
Must be willing to take initiative and ownership of all tasks on projects
Demonstration of three-dimensional design and planning skills
Have an understanding of construction, materials and methods
