The Intermediate QA Analyst will provide automated and manual software testing throughout the software development life cycle on new and modified software. To fulfill this role, the systems analyst will:
Test new code developed within new and existing software applications using automated and manual scripts
Conduct load, performance, security, boundary and positive/negative testing following software development methodology standards
Create and identify test cases, environments and scenarios from templates based on product requirements and test strategy created by Senior QA Analyst
Lay out test matrix in Excel based on test requirements, for review by Senior QA Analyst
Attend requirements and design review meetings with software product managers; help define the timeframe it will take to test and walk through code with developers to determine which areas need to be tested.
Create new test tickets and scenarios when failed tests occur.
BA/BS preferred but not required
2-4 years related software testing experience or 3-5 years without degree
Experience with automated testing tools, i.e. Rational Robot
Demonstrated analytical skills
Ability to interact effectively with technical users and project teams
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
Certified Test Engineer (CTE) preferred
