Company and Divisional Description: This position will be with AEGON Asset Management, the organization which oversees asset management for many of Transamerica's insurance and operating companies as well as third party clients. The global AEGON Asset Management organization has operations in Europe, the United States and Asia. Primary offices in the United States are located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Baltimore, Maryland. AEGON Asset Management and Transamerica are both part of the AEGON NV group of companies. The legal entities that comprise AEGON Asset Management US are AEGON USA Realty Advisors, LLC and AEGON USA Investment Management, LLC. AEGON USA Realty Advisors, LLC manages commercial real estate, commercial mortgage loans and other real estate related investments. AEGONUSA Investment Management, LLC, is a registered investment adviser that manages fixed income assets, including public bonds, private placements, derivatives and alternative investments.

Intermediate or Senior Investment Analytics Analyst
will be part of the production team within the Data Management Organization and will be responsible for supporting analytics reporting to AAM and corporate customers. This role will act as a senior data analyst and will utilize their business analysis and technical skills to enhance the current analytics processes within AAM.
Specifically this resource will be expected to:
Participating as primary business subject matter expert on key analytics fields including but not limited to Duration, Key Rate Duration, Convexity, and Weighted Average Life across asset classes (including securities, derivatives, and mortgage loans)
Provide technical and business analysis skills to maintain and improve the current analytics process for month end reporting, as well as mid-month Analytics validations
Provide business analysis, technical, and customer service skills to complete analytics reporting and support daily production needs as required
Have excellent team and communication skills and be able to train other analyst within the Data Maintenance Organization on key analytics fields and processes for reporting
Support the Data Maintenance Organizations needs on projects as required
Act as support for new third party analytics reporting
Provide data mining capabilities to the Data Management Organization teams
Intermediate Level Qualifications:
Experience working with analytics fields or in a analytical data role strongly preferred
Bachelors Degree, preferably in Finance or related field.
3+ years experience in the institutional securities industry with working knowledge of fixed income products and investment processes
3+ years of Investment Data Management is preferred
Markit EDM experience preferred
Process improvement experience preferred
Strong leadership skills are required
Highly developed analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required
Thorough understanding of databases and/or investment trading systems and processes. Working knowledge of how data flows within the Investments Division is preferred.
Ability to work independently and on several assignments simultaneously is required
Expert knowledge of desktop tools such as MS Word, Excel, and Access is required
Additional Senior Level Qualifications:
6+ years experience in the institutional securities industry with working knowledge of fixed income products and investment processes
6+ years of Investment Data Management is preferred
SQL experience is required
An advanced degree and appropriate professional certifications is preferred
