We are currently seeking an experienced Advanced Process Control and Process Automation Leader. This role will be responsible for leading INVISTA’s Intermediates Advance Control and Automation efforts and developing a team to deliver state of the art control technology and manufacturing systems at our facilities. Role will be based in Houston, Texas.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop an Advance Process Control and Automation capability within INVISTA Intermediates. Identify and secure resources to deliver programs.

Provide direct supervision to the Automation Team.

Establish a strong MBM® culture within the Automation Team.

Lead development of short term and long term automation strategies for each site, collaborating with the Operations teams, including Technical, Engineering, and Operations/Reliability.

Lead technology selection, development, implementation, and maintenance of state of the art automation systems to improve process unit health monitoring and troubleshooting, plant optimization, process capability, and product quality. This includes: Advance Process Control capability, DCS Automation, Manufacturing Smart Systems capability

Identify and mitigate risks on planned DCS capital projects.

Demonstrated strong leadership skills.

Demonstrated coordination skills.

Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple jobs simultaneously.

Strong verbal & written communications skills.

Self-starter, self-motivated, independent achiever who can thrive in a team environment working closely with Technical, Engineering, and Operation organizations.

Sound fundamental economic skills and attitude that drives decision making from an economic point of view.

Experience & Skills Required:
Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering.

15+ years’ experience working in petrochemical manufacturing facilities or refinery with proven track record of implementing Automation strategies and programs.
