The Speaker and Congressional Affairs Team intern will assist the Speaker Coordinators and Speaker and Congressional Affairs Manager to prepare all conference event materials. The team intern will also assist in scheduling Capitol Hill appointments for conference participants. Working hours would preferably be Monday to Friday 9-5.
Scheduling congressional appointments for scholars: answering incoming calls from congressional offices, making outbound calls to offices who have yet to schedule appointments, and responding to emails
Attend and assist at Capitol Hill Day speaking event (Thursday mornings)
Assist Coordinators with program materials preparation including printing, sorting and organizing materials for the entire conference week to week
Strong communications skills both written and verbal
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and office equipment knowledge
Detail oriented with ability to prioritize and work on various projects simultaneously
Ability to work well in a team environment
