Position Description

Systems Engineer performing support in development related to the design of pacemakers, defibrillators and heart failure management systems.
Responsible for the deployment and support of continuous improvement activities across the Systems Engineering discipline.

Responsibilities may include system design, requirements definition, system integration and user testing and the development of cardiac therapies and diagnostics. In addition, you may be required to construct and design the hardware and software tools necessary to perform device testing or experimental protocols, collect and analyze physiologic signals through use of other tools such as Labview and be an active participant on the Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management development team.
Position Responsibilities

Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Work under general supervision. Follow established procedures.
Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources.
Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
Perform system integration and may participate in risk analysis and effectiveness analyses for significant portion of the systems.
Analyses are performed at higher levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Assist the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The scope and requirements are broader.
Perform functional analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into sub-systems requirements.
Basic Qualifications

Some college with a focus on Biomedical Engineering and previous engineering experience either on campus or industry.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Labview
