The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Internal Audit Division is seeking a highly skilled professional to perform internal audits covering DBHDS Central Office, its Facilities, and Community Services Boards in accordance with "Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing" of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Inc. and approved audit plan of the DBHDS Office of Internal Audit. This position will assist with the management of the Office of Internal Audit, planning of audit engagements, the completion of audit work and reports as well as conduct and review State Fraud, Waste and Abuse Hotline investigations.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience in managing an audit team and ability to work as part of a team. Good oral and written communication skills as well as a professional and pleasant demeanor. Ability to review a function, area or situation and determine appropriate audit procedures, and make appropriate, practical recommendations. Skills in interviewing and investigation techniques to successfully complete assigned Hotline cases. A working knowledge of internal controls. Good computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database). Experience in auditing or specifically internal audit, appraising activities, or operational analysis. College degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).

Preferred Qualifications
A CPA, CIA and/or CISA license desired.

DBHDS is a tobacco-free, smoke-free work environment. This position will average 50% in-state travel.
