Americold, the largest provider of temperature controlled distribution services in the US is seeking Internal Auditors to join our team at our Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA. (Sandy Springs area)
Execution of assigned internal audit projects.
Reviewing, evaluating, and testing internal controls and performance metrics of corporate functions and company operations, with an emphasis on accounting and finance processes or warehousing/transportation functions.
Assist with the testing related to the Company’s SOX 404 program including completing and documenting process walk-throughs, testing controls, and assisting in remediation efforts.
Responsible for all stages of financial and operational audit and project support – planning, fieldwork, and “wrap-up.”
Participating as a controls consultant on process improvement/re-engineering teams.
Assist completing operational audits of the Company’s warehousing locations.
Appraising business processes and providing value-added recommendations to management.
Assist in the development of solutions to identified business needs.
Provide meaningful communications to business owners and audit management.
Travel up to 25% may be required.
Other duties as requested.
Qualifications & Experience:Education, Training & Professional Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other business related field
1-4 years audit experience (internal or external) or other relative business experience (accounting) preferred
Professional certification such as CIA or CPA preferred but not required
Preferred experience working in SAP and/or Warehouse Management Software (WMS)
Knowledge and Employment Standards:
Ability to work on teams as well as on individual assignments.
Demonstrate foundational understanding of accounting and finance processes
Functional knowledge of supply chain processes, 3 rd party logistics, or experience auditing controls in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations
Ability to analyze complex processes and identify potential improvement opportunities
Strong organizational, problem solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills
Proficient in using MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Must be able to travel as requested (estimated 25%)
