Internal Auditor

Position Summary:
The Internal Auditor is responsible for performing various Financial and Operational audits, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing, Regulatory Compliance audits for the organization to ensure compliance with DriveTime policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct financial, operational and regulatory compliance audits, fraud investigations, information technology reviews, field audits, or other audits and special projects as required.

Maintain SOX documentation, assist in planning and administration of the SOX compliance program, and conduct periodic SOX control testing.

Engage in DriveTime’s culture, including the development of professional relationships with audit personnel, management, and DriveTime employees.

Prepare and present reports of findings and recommendations to management.

Identify and assess areas of risk within the internal controls as necessary.

Stay aware of current developments within the Financial Services industry and Internal Audit practice.

Pursue continuing education and/or professional development as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:
Successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Information Systems or a regulated field

2+ years of experience in an internal or external auditing environment (CPA and/or CIA preferred).

Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred.

Experience in executing Audit programs and workpaper documentation.

Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 control testing.

Position requires approximately 25-40% overnight travel.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word & Excel (Experience building and executing queries in SQL is a plus).

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high degree of personal integrity, and the ability to work under limited supervision.

Must be able to multi-task, prioritize projects, and adapt to changing business needs.
