Liberty Mutual Insurance's continued growth has led to expanded opportunities within the Corporate Internal Auditing Department. We are looking for motivated individuals to Auditor positions.

In this role, you will assist management by performing risk assessments and evaluating critical business processes. As part of our team environment, you will plan and execute audits using our customized audit approach and electronic work paper system. Key responsibilities include defining scope, analyzing controls, performing and reviewing test work, reporting results, and coaching others.

Responsibilities:
Assists in the execution of audits from audit planning activities through issuance of the audit report. Specific responsibilities on each audit will be commensurate with the complexities of the particular engagement and the demonstrated capabilities of the Auditor. Assignments will typically include:

Under the direction of the in-charge and/or supervisor, contributes to risk analysis, control identification, and audit program development for assigned segments of the audit. Responsibilities may include drafting initial planning memos, control mapping, and documentation of the risk-control matrix.

Independently performs assigned audit testing as outlined in the audit program and is able to conclude on the effectiveness of controls. Identifies deviations from expected control activities and discusses with the in-charge.

Effectively communicates control weaknesses to auditee management, both verbally and in writing.

Effectively uses the department’s data analysis software to facilitate audit scoping and testing.

Completes assignments within established budgets and milestones without sacrificing audit quality.

Takes an active role in facilitating the training and development of Associate Auditors.

May begin to assume in-charging responsibilities on routine audits of limited complexity.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics, or equivalent training

Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in internal auditing or public accounting

Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and regulations

Demonstration of excellent communication, audit and analytical skills

Experience in Lotus Notes and ACL is a plus
