Traveling is a necessity for this position , the employee travels about 25% of time but is confined to the State of Nevada.

Description :

The Internal Auditor is r esponsible for accurate and timely audit review of property adherence to applicable federal and State regulations and minimum control procedures as well as company policies and procedures. Reports to the Director of Internal Audit and the Senior Auditor Manager.

Duties :

Conducts reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities. Identifies the key control points of the system. Performs the audit in a professional manner and in accordance with the approved audit program. Prepares and reviews audit working papers. Obtains, analyzes, and appraises evidentiary data. Must be able to perform independent research for the creation of new audits or the improvement of current audits. Makes or assists in making oral and written presentations to management. Prepares formal written reports as requested expressing opinion on the adequacy of the system and the efficiency with which activities are carried out. Must be able to travel to perform audits at all properties.

Marginal job functions include assisting the Senior Auditor Manager and Director of Internal Audit as needed, requested or required. Providing support to Audit staff. Ability to perform oral presentations and special projects as needed, requested, or required.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree required either in Business or Finance.
  • Organized, flexible, and able to handle multiple priorities in pressure situations.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Internet, AS400, 10-key experience preferred.
  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to understand the importance of the Gaming Control Board Federal Regulation Compliance.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be professional and personable, and be able to relate well with all employees at all levels.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, expressing ideas clearly, and actively listen to thoughts and ideas of others.
  • Previous experience in gaming environment desired. If not, must have initiative to learn.
  • Ability to do oral presentations.
