Springfield College seeks applications for the position of Internal Auditor. Reporting administratively to the Assistant Vice President for Administration and Finance, this position is responsible for planning, implementing and administering internal audit programs. Act as liaison for audits conducted by external auditors; prepare regulatory filings; work with Assistant Vice President for Administration and Finance to develop and implement both annual and five-year internal audit plans; analyze and evaluate audit results; communicate audit findings to various levels of management, including the President and other administrators, as appropriate; provide counsel to senior level management regarding audit related areas; perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications include: Associate's degree from an accredited college in accounting or related field is required. Possession of an advanced degree is a plus. Relevant professional experience preferably in higher education; or the equivalent in combined education and experience. Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities are essential. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
