ROLE of the POSITION
the guidance and general direction of the Internal Audit Supervisor, this position performs operational and compliance audits for all UNLV
departments. Duties include a proper study and evaluation of existing internal controls to determine compliance with appropriate
regulations, policies and procedures with ensuing detailed evaluation reports. The position will coordinate communications with the Nevada
System of Higher Education (NHSE) internal auditors to provide timely and accurate responses to audit findings. This position is exempt from
overtime and may occasionally be required to work over 40 hours in the week, nights, weekends and/or
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar discipline from a regionally accredited institution and two
years of related professional experience utilizing knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, auditing standards, and internal
controls. Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access computer programs are required. The successful candidate would have
technical training and proficiency as an auditor, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize a problem,
gather sufficient competent evidential matter and provide analysis of the evidence to support an opinion, the ability to prioritize and
manage multiple projects, be self-motivated, work as part of a team and successfully interact with diverse personnel.
The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience within an anticipated range of $35,000 to $45,000. UNLV offers an
