Faithful+Gould is now accepting applications from highly experienced Oil & Gas Operations Specialists for a vital role with an international client: Project Manager-Field Operations Auditor. This person is responsible for the implementation and effective auditing of the Clients’ Supplier Quality Management Systems to achieve compliance to Regulatory Specifications relative to Oil & Gas Industry standards. This person will work on a Compliance Audit Team reporting to the Program Manager. This project is based out of our Houston office, but this position may be based out of another Faithful+Gould office, providing the employee understands the travel requirements for the job will exceed 80%.
Typical duties and responsibilities include:
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic audits and reviews; preparing and completing Gap analysis and audit plans; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change, and possible training of Client staff.
Validates Supplier quality management processes utilizing established procedures for validating client procedures; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Maintains and improves quality by completing inspections and observations, compliance, and staff interviews; auditing vendor compliance; collaborating with other members of management to develop new means and methods and training procedures.
Plan and participate in visits to various field, offsite, vendor, manufacturing facilities, and office locations.
Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Other responsibilities include monitoring the overall QA system for effectiveness and compliance to all system and procedures as well as Client requirements. Preparing and revising system procedures to maintain compliance with relevant quality system standards.
Applicable Candidates will possess the following knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications:
15 - 20+ years experience in Oil and Gas Operations environment
8 - 10+ years field experience required
Oil & Gas, Upstream or Offshore experience required
Quality Assurance/Control experience required
Experience working with Supply Chain/Procurement required
Inspection/Testing/Product conformity experience required
Risk Management Identification & Control experience strongly preferred
Management of Change/Continuous Improvement experience strongly preferred
General knowledge of Project Management (IT/IS) systems preferred
Possess the knowledge and ability to effectively conduct different types of audits in a professional, ethical and objective manner using and interpreting applicable standards/requirements.
Ability to verify, document and communication audit results, develop an audit report and evaluated the effectiveness of a corrective action/follow-up
Ability to effectively plan, develop, communicate and execute and audit within a defined scope, including resource scheduling, conducting necessary meetings in performance of the audit and using appropriate auditing techniques
Understand how quality principles relate to business protocols and position the ability to explain the importance of aligning the audit function to the organization
Possess interpersonal skills to resolve conflict, conduct interviews and make presentations effectively
Strong process and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and determine course of action
Strong ability to interact collaboratively with team members and Client
Working knowledge of SAP Materials Management module
Working knowledge of SAP Business Intelligence software
Good organizational and time management skills with ability to perform under pressure and to adjust to changing priorities.
Must be familiar with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Vizio, and Project)
Strong networking, interpersonal and teamwork/collaboration skills required
Professionally qualified certification or membership required.
Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Construction Management is strongly desired.
API Certified, or have a working knowledge and experience with API Quality Standards.
Preference giving to candidates with international project experience, specifically Canada, Southeast Asia, China, the Middle East, and/or Europe
