We are currently seeking a nutrition specialist with international experience conducting process and outcome/impact evaluations of international nutrition programs. Program content includes nutrition research in the areas of intrauterine to early childhood health, maternal well-being, food fortification, vulnerable populations, and linkages between agriculture and nutrition. Skills in research design and data collection, qualitative research methods, and quantitative analysis are required. The ability to synthesize data from multiple efforts, develop user friendly and policy oriented materials from data, and provide technical assistance on research analytic issues is desired. Experience with conducting outcome/impact evaluations in developing countries using experimental or quasi-experimental designs for one or more major international donors (e.g., USAID, USDA, CDC, FAO, UNICEF) is preferred. Excellent verbal and written English skills are essential; foreign language capabilities are highly desirable. The ability to work in a team environment is essential. Position is expected to be in Rockville, MD. Some short-term travel to countries where evaluations are conducted is expected, but long-term in-country assignment is not anticipated. A doctoral degree in nutrition with at least 8 years of post-degree experience in research and/or program evaluation is required.
