The successful candidate will coordinate the international student activities on campus including Celebration of Nations, Diplomats Program, International Orientation, International Student Organization, as well as organizing other international events on campus and coordinating outreach visits by the students to various organizations in the community.
The International Student Programming Coordinator helps to advise international students on personal, academic and cultural issues.
The candidate will be knowledgeable on current USCIS regulations and helps to advise international students in this area as well.
Must have one year working with international students or recruiting university students.
Must have excellent intercultural communication skills and understanding of acculturation challenges and needs.
Must have international experience.
Should have a familiarity with university operations, especially in the international, admissions, and student support areas.
Willingness to travel and carry materials on campus visits.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
Ability to speak a non-English language.
Experience living abroad for an extended period.
