Groupon is seeking an International Tax Analyst to join our rapidly growing international tax function and be an integral part of the team. This role presents an opportunity to take on challenging projects that impact Groupon's worldwide effective tax rate.
In this role, you will be involved in tax planning and compliance, tackle complex business problems, and solve an occasional word game in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Support Groupon’s business initiatives with tax effective planning
Determine the impact of alternative structures and transaction flows
Assist in ensuring global tax compliance
Research and analyze international tax provisions
Coordinate US and international tax consequences of operations Required Qualifications:
Must have at least 5 years of progressive experience with international tax matters for publicly traded multinational companies with significant foreign operations or equivalent experience at “Big Four” accounting firms
Comprehensive understanding of US international tax rules (foreign tax credits, Subpart F, transfer pricing, etc.)
Strong research skills
Experience in international compliance (Forms 5471, 1118, etc.)
Experience in tax accounting (FAS109, APB 23, ARB 51, etc.)
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting Desired Qualifications:
CPA, Masters in Tax and/or JD/LLM in tax Core Competencies:

Ability to work independently
Effective communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Efficiently manage multiple priorities and handle complex projects in a rapidly changing environment
