Due to the ever-increasing product line at Groupon and our mission to constantly improve our products, our tax team has been rapidly growing. We are seeking a strong leader to be our International Tax Manager, which will involve building projects that directly impact the company’s worldwide effective tax rate and tax obligations. The International Tax Manager will play a significant part in growing our global tax team, which will allow the opportunity for professional and personal growth.

Research and assess impact of international tax laws and rules with Groupon’s business
Collaborate with International Tax Director and other personnel to implement projects, create new and improve existing processes
Streamline process worldwide around intellectual property, effective tax rates and rules & regulations
Provide expertise for international tax matters including, Subpart F, transfer pricing and foreign currency, as well as foreign tax audits
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, competing priorities and handle complex projects in a rapidly changing environment
Optimize financial performance of business operations by working cross functionally with teams including finance, accounting, operations, sales, legal and zoo keeping Qualifications:

Progressive experience with international tax matters for publicly traded multinational companies with significant foreign operations (i.e. in more than five countries including a substantial EMEA presence) or equivalent experience at “Big Four” accounting firms
Excellent understanding of US international tax matters including Subpart F, transfer pricing and foreign currency, as well as experience with foreign tax audits
Exceptional tax accounting skills, including but not limited to FAS109, APB 23, ARB 51, FIN 18, etc.
Project management and organizational skills
Must be able to create and articulate a vision, ideally with fingers paints and chalk
Bachelor degree in finance or accounting
CPA, Masters in Tax and/or JD/LLM highly preferred
Ability to travel
