Education, Hospitality, as well as local, state and federal government agencies.

Minimum qualifications:
Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics/World Languages or an applicable field, equivalent teaching experience in language or pedagogy/acquisition methodologies or other internationalization specialties. Candidate must have solid experience mentoring other teachers and/or providing professional development to faculty.

All applicants should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts education environment, one which focuses on integration, with expertise in language-related concerns; task-based language learning; and a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues across the disciplines. Additional qualifications for this position include superior Level written and spoken multilingual communication skills, consistent with the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines; good interpersonal skills; organizational administrative skills; and ability to work well with colleagues and students of diverse backgrounds. Supervisory and coordinating experience will be considered a plus.

Preferred Professional Qualifications:
Preference will be givento multilingualcandidates with a Ph. D inApplied Linguistics or similar advanced degree in a field related to internationalizing the curriculum, as well as documented success in faculty development; undergraduate teaching; curricular development and assessment; computer assisted instruction and/or instructional technology; TESOL, sociolinguistics, and second language acquisition; service learning; K-12 outreach/professional development . Specialization is open, and primary responsibilities focus on internationalizing instruction throughout the College, but preference will be given to candidates who can also teach a variety of undergraduate courses in the less commonly taught languages, linking them to other program disciplines.

Description:

Coordinating internationalization activities in collaboration with the Institute for Faculty Development and the Office of International Services at the College

*
Providing professional development to faculty members on internationalizing the curriculum

*
Disseminating the latest research and practices on internationalization

*
Serving as a guest lecturer or activity facilitator to model best practices for faculty

*
Assisting faculty members on internationalizing their own lessons, units, courses

*
Developing and implement an annual Summer Institute (to be held in May or June)

*
Facilitate a renewable, sustainable internationalization faculty leadership plan

*
Collaborate with the World Languages and other faculty leaders in internationalization efforts

*
Teach one course per term, including but not limited to Methods of Teaching World Languages,

Salary: $58,018.42
