In this position, you will manage and oversee the movement of inventory balances in and out of perpetual inventory, particularly as they impact the general ledger; Conduct annual physical inventory, including preparation, process oversight and reconciliation of variances with all involved departments; Provide procedures for PI preparation, conducting the physical inventory, Reports and Post-PI Reconciliation; Handle on-going inventory reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies as needed - answering questions about the proper method of correcting inventory issues as they arise - Ensuring proper financial impact for all reconciliation; Develop and publish inventory procedures, including assisting in developing procedures related to the financial impact of inventory issues (including desk procedures and report running procedures specific to each individual organization.

You will be responsible for monitoring all GL accounts directly related to inventory, and alerting appropriate managers as to how those changes affect their operations - including specific account impact, as well as proper cost center impact; Handle Oracle inventory users training (Inventory Report, Inventory Process Flow, and Physical Inventory processes) - this may include one on one training where necessary; Oversee inventory transactions/adjustment processing; Review all Oracle Miscellaneous Issue and Receipt Request for accuracy of data; Ensure proper signature authorization has been gained; Validate the correct accounting impact to accounts and cost centers; Monitor Inventory Costing; Ensure that inventory items are properly costed in the Item master file and facilitate costing updates when required; Support groups within the Financial Organization with reporting related to inventory (Insurance Declaration Documents for the Tax Group, WIP Staging for cost accounting, DIVA Month End Analysis); Maintain records of inventory processing and reporting either electronically or hard copy for internal review or outside auditing requirements.

Four year Business degree or equivalent work experience.
Five years or more experience managing inventory systems, with two years direct supervision of staff.
Strong PC skills, including Excel and Word. Familiarity with integrated computer business systems such as Oracle.
Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, planning and analytical skills.
Professional relational skills - having the ability to build and maintain positive business relationships within Toshiba America Medical Systems as well as with groups outside of TAMS (E&Y Auditors, vendors, outside consultants).
