Primary Purpose:
This position supports the core functions of Inventory Management, Key Customers, and Marketing initiatives through the use of advanced technical and analytical reporting tools.

Core responsibilities will include:
1) Report writing and analysis of data needed to support decisions around various inventory functions including facility openings, closings, item adds, item drops, customer shifts etc.;

2) guiding of more complex processes (cross functional) and decisions relative to Inventory Management, Operations, Key Customers and Marketing;

3) providing data leadership participation on Project teams, recognizing issues and providing in-depth analysis around inventory turns or Supplier trends within a given Product Category.

The role will also help drive the identification around problematic items, their root cause and suggested resolution.

Major Responsibilities:
Maintains and reports Database /Inventory system information via uploads and report writing.

Captures and analyzes data and translates to target appropriate cause and effect relationships upon request. Manages key performance metrics surrounding inventory turn, service levels, etc.

Prepares monthly reporting and facilitates investment/rebate buy opportunities via analysis of deals and rebate programs. Loads forward buy quantities into system as required.

Prepares data to support performance analysis for decisions around facility openings, closings, item adds, item drops, customer shifts, etc.

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge Required:
Advanced skill in writing ad hoc Focus/ Hyperion/MS ACCESS queries.

Intermediate/Advanced skill with MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Proven track record in managing multiple tasks and projects to a timely and successful completion.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (Business, Logistics, Operations Management)

Minimum of 2 years work experience in an environment of advanced purchasing processes.
