  • Job Summary: This position will support LLUMC’s strategic plan and the organization’s mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness. Provides accurate and timely processing of purchase requests for equipment, supplies, and services. Reviews purchase requests and advises requestors of alternatives; prepares and processes purchase requests insuring appropriate prime and sub-account codes, completeness of requests, and appropriate authorization signatures; resolves questions, issues, and prices with vendors; provides requestors with updates and answers questions on status and availability of requested items or service; expedites items on backorder or helps to obtain substitute, as appropriate; and distributes supplies. Maintains supply inventory including appropriately stocked central stores and material management files. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications : High school graduate or equivalent (GED). Prefer clerical and/or business office training including computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database). One or more years of experience in hospital or industry warehouse or distributions. Possesses excellent dexterity and analytic skills. Ability to plan and organize work, manage workload, operate equipment, input data and type. Possesses clear speaking abilities in English. Ability to use available resource material independently to resolve and document challenges constructively. Possesses excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills in English matching the style to the message and the audience. Maintains excellent interpersonal relationships with all customers (e.g., staff, patients, vendors). Provides staff and management with timely information, constructive and actionable feedback. Fosters cooperation and collaboration, actively solicits opinions from others, builds respect and trust. Explains and teaches. Responds to guidance constructively. Detail oriented. Able to reason and solve problems effectively, analyze and interpret data. Able to organize work, to service multiple requests and tasks at one time, while maintaining quality and a professional manner. Self motivated and works well with minimal direction. Articulates logical and well-founded arguments that support conclusions.
