Coordinate the processing of documents with U.S. Customs relating to all imported merchandise.

Review and maintain complete files for accuracy and completeness.

Communicate with suppliers for necessary paperwork and order confirmation.

Prepare check requests for all related fees.

Maintain bonded warehouse inventory book and process withdrawals from bonded warehouse.

Calculate deferred tax on a semi-monthly basis.

Assist in reconciliation of physical inventory and Federal product tax records with inventory control supervisor.

Maintain, breakdown and batch receiver documentation, transfers and adjustments; including scanning as a backup to the Inventory Costing Coordinators.

Process adjustments verifying costs through SAP as a backup to the Inventory Costing Coordinators.

Process paperwork relating to claims, both freight and product. Work with receiving department and recoup area for count verification on damaged and missing product.

Assist in physical inventory preparation, keypunch physical inventory counts, support inventory reconciliation including pulling supplier invoices from SAP, research and audit receivers, transfers and other transactions that affect inventory. Make necessary corrections as needed.

Act as a back-up for Inventory Costing Coordinators.

Prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints.

Perform other job related duties as assigned by manager or lead.

Assists in the performance of general clerical duties relating to inventory control, inventory receiving and physical inventory.

Required Skills

High School Diploma/GED and 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
General knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and 10 key by touch.
Accurate data-entry skills.
Effective verbal/written communication skills in carrying out job duties with various departments and levels of management.
Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Basic mathematical skills including knowledge of general accounting principles.

Preferred Credentials :
Associate's Degree with coursework in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
SAP familiarity.
Able to perform job duties with minimal supervision.
