The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for the coordination and management of all inventory control functions including conducting daily cycle counts and book-to-book comparison between the client’s and NFI Distribution Center’s WMS.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

Maintains and updates inventory records 
Creates efficient and accurate inventory management procedures 
Performs all daily activities necessary to maintain effective inventory management procedures 
Reconciles inventories to book records and make adjustments when necessary 
Coordinates the annual physical inventory procedures 
Administers loss prevention program 
Recommends programs to improve the management of inventory 
Supervises the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, including weekly and monthly reporting 
Conduct search to locate products within the system, as necessary 
Adjust records when there are discrepancies between actual product and records 
Ensures corrective measures to prevent discrepancies 
Performs weekly cycle counts and adjusts systems as necessary 
Develops a program to maintain tight security over the inventory 
Maintains accurate inventory records to help facilities shortage detection 
Maintains confidentiality of inventory records to authorized personnel 
Develop all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts and adjustments 
Complete and issue all necessary records and reports including filing invoices and maintaining customer records in a timely and accurate fashion 
Communicates and coordinates with customers regarding timing of physical inventories 
Coordinates with Customer Service Representatives, Supervisors, and Warehouse Supervisors to establish cut-off dates 
The individual needs to be trained to work in the cribs as a back-up, and be trained and certified in crane, fork lift, and movement of dollies. 
Work on the system generated “Shortage Report” to investigate where material is at. 
Ability to be able to work all hours, holidays, and weekends. 
Understand the requirements of Vought in regards to their expectations related to controlling the inventory 
Implement sound housekeeping practices (5S) and lean initiatives 
Ability to effectively follow project events and dates. 
Develop a reporting document so they are able to communicate to NFI Management on the 1st shift. Document would contain: 
Accomplishments by the individual for that shift. 
Issues that have arose during the shift. 
Any employee issues that need to be addressed due to improper inventory related transactions. 

Computer Literate 
Self-Starter and self Motivated that needs little or no supervision 
Ability to count, use a calculator, and analyze information 
Ability to meet goals 
Excellent verbal and written communications skills 
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
Minimum 3-5 years experience in similar position 
Computer applications experience using MS Office 
Excellent oral and written communications skills 
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills 
Excellent customer service skills

Other: 

Must be able to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction 
Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and potentially holidays as needed by the customer
