Here at WakeMed, the Inventory Control Specialist, OR will be responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy, daily management of the surgical services cycle counting and inventory adjustment. Candidate must have the ability to work well with others by supporting a team approach toward patient care. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to analytically develop and implement processes and procedures. Candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks or products concurrently and work independently with little or no supervision. Integrity, Honesty, Pride and Dependability are essential attributes for success in this position.

Experience Requirements: MINIMUM TWO YEARS RECENT EXPERIENCE IN SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION, INVENTORY CONTROL, PHYSICAL INVENTORY PROCESSING PREFERABLY IN A HEALTH CARE ENVIRONMENT INVOLVING ALL ASPECTS OF MEDICAL SUPPLY. FAMILIARITY WITH CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT CONCEPTS PREFERRED.

Select Education Type: HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR EQUIVALENT REQUIRED. COLLEGE OR TECHNICAL SCHOOL PREFERRED. DEGREE IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS OR HIGH LEVEL COMPUTER TRAINING PREFERRED.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Weekend Requirements: As Needed
