Reports to - VP Supply Chain & IT

Job Summary

The IM is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory control including: shipping and receiving; stockroom of raw materials and finished goods; and kitting for assembly. With Finance & Accounting maintains inventory accuracy through a cycle-count program and physical inventories. Completes all transactions as required in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Implements Lean Sigma or similar best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for all aspects of inventory management.

• Perform and supervise shipping and receiving. Manage logistics vendors (e.g., FedEx, UPS)

• Organize and maintain inventory in stock rooms including finished goods and raw materials

• Assemble kits as per Bills of Material (BOMs) for assembly operation

• Develop and implement cycle-count program to ensure inventory accuracy. Conduct physical inventory to confirm effectiveness of cycle-count program.

• Perform transactions in the ERP and MES systems to track material movements

• Prepare shipping instructions for contract manufacturer in Vietnam to ship Nistica products directly to customers



• 5-to-10 years’ experience in Inventory Management in a manufacturing environment. Must have assumed responsibilities to manage inventory, shipping & receiving, and kitting of complex optical, electrical, or mechanical products.

• Prior experience and training implementing and maintaining Lean Manufacturing methods within inventory management

• Must have ERP/MRP experience

• Must have strong written & analytical skills

• Strong operational, process, and documentation skills

• Associates or Bachelors or Degree preferred

• Training in Lean Sigma or other best practices preferred
