To provide the analytical support that will enable our Supply Chain and Demand Planning team to make informed strategic decisions. The role will focus on: tracking, monitoring and analyzing our purchased inventory reporting; providing support and analysis for budgets, actual results, and forecasts; and working on various projects in support of these teams. The focus will be on increasing inventory turns, and reducing excess & obsolete material. This position will have a role in implementation and administration of Supplier Demand Pull.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage inventory levels to established targets, monitor and report performance.
Proactively monitor/manage inventory with shelf life constraints and drive consumption to minimize potential liability.
Develop relevant performance metrics and prepare detailed month-end reports.
Participate on cross-functional teams for Continuous Improvement Process initiatives.
Participate in interim and long-term process and system changes to improve planning and execution of orders while simultaneously improving inventory turns.
Participate in obsolete/slow moving inventories reduction initiatives.
Participate in Kanban and Lean initiatives as related to planning and inventory management.
Participate in the selection of tool(s) for electronic Demand Pull management.
Will be required to work closely with Information Technology (IT) Department to develop reports to support manufacturing, materials, and other functions using the query program.
Will be responsible for obtaining data and completing Key Business Metrics for metrics such as On Time Shipment and Inventory.
Perform supplier systems and/or lean support training as required.

Participate in Continuous Improvement and support all PPI, Keys and Lean projects.

Bachelor's degree related to Computer, Engineering or Business is preferred.
Inventory analytical experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
Possess a solid cost and inventory background from a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams, and drive accountability and continuous process improvement in daily activities.
Experience utilizing systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Forecasting Tools a plus.
Experience in AS400 and/or SAP is desired.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and query programs.
Ability to professionally conduct presentations and webcasts.
Experience in ISO9001:2000.
Experience in Continuous Improvement Initiatives such as Six Sigma and Lean.
Ability to effectively communicate by phone.
Ability to stand, bend, stretch, reach and kneel while intermittently being exposed to noise, fumes, dust and dirt while in manufacturing area.
Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Exceptional organizational skills.
High level of analytical skills.
Ability to follow through on tasks assigned to completion.
Travel Required < 15% of the time.
