We are seeking a

Inventory Specialist (Warehouse Clerk 2)

at Schoefield Barracks, HI.

The Inventory Specialist (IS) inventories, stores, secures and turns in equipment for one of more of the following programs: Left Behind Equipment (LBE), Pre-Deployment Training Equipment (PDTE). The IS will ensure serial and registration numbers and quantities for all equipment are accurately recorded and the equipment load plans are developed to facilitate locating individual items quickly. The inventory process includes equipment inventory layout, component list inventories, sub hand receipt and shortage annex procedures, repositioning equipment and equipment "re-issue" procedures; additional responsibilities include receiving, storing, and issuing organization and installation supplies and equipment.

Inventory LBE and/or PDTE utilizing appropriate technical manual or supply catalog and annotate shortage annexes when Components of the End Item (COEI), Basic Issue Items (BII), and Additional Authorized Items (AAI) are missing.

Visually check the condition of all items and report damages to the Contract Hand Receipt Holder (CHRH).

Identify and report all items with a security classification to the CHRH.

Segregate, load, unload, store, LBE and/or PDTE and ensure the equipment is accurately labeled, recorded, and secured.

Safeguard equipment through the proper utilization of key control and property storage Standing Operating Procedures (SOP).

Prepare and use load plans to assist in equipment inventories and the unit re-issue process.

Operate Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) such as Property Book Unit Supply-Enhanced (PBUSE).

Assist in preparation of all unit/organizational supply documents (Automated or Manual).

Assist in maintenance of automated/manual supply system to account for organizational and installation supplied and equipment.

Ensure all ammunition, hazardous materials, and shelf life items are not inducted into the LBE and/or PDTE program.

Perform inventory management, storage and equipment preservation.

Prepare equipment and documentation for lateral transfers, temporary loans, and turn-ins in accordance with directives.

Load, unload and move stock and equipment using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and handtrucks.

Complete and verify documentation on incoming and outgoing equipment; inspect completed work for accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Assist with annual, cyclic, and quarterly sensitive and non-sensitive item inventories as scheduled by the CHRH.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Military experience is beneficial and highly desired. Must present a professional image and represent the company in an appropriate manner. The following is the minimum criteria:

High school graduate or GED.

Graduate of the Army 92Y or 92A MOS school experience at Unit Supply level or 2 years equivalent experience.

Previous verifiable SARSS certification and experience working in the SSA environment.

Knowledge of PBUSE, Hand Receipt, Clothing record management or military warehouse operations and preferably a thorough understanding of TAMMS.

Must be familiar with reporting, maintaining files, transport, storage, turn-in, issues and inventory of military equipment.

Ability to pass a Drug Screening

Ability to pass Background and National Agency Checks

Possess a current driver's license

US Citizenship

Ability to obtain and keep a Common Access Card (CAC)

Work Environment, Physical and Mental Demands

Works in an environment with military equipment, vehicles and both heavy and light equipment. Existing forklift license/experience desired. Must be able to safely lift and carry 35 pounds for short distances. Must be able to safely stoop, bend, kneel, walk across flat and uneven surfaced, use ladders, and climb in and out of equipment/vehicles. Outside work in hot weather is often required. Indoor work is often in buildings with climate control.
