Cargill has an exciting opportunity for an
CVAM-Retail plant. This position is responsible for receiving and controlling the inventory of all packaging supplies used throughout all areas of the facility.
Supervise and develop purchasing staff to deliver results through employee engagement
Manage and maintain packaging and ingredient supplies in dry storage, person protective equipment in the supply room, and maintenance parts in MRO. Manages employees on two shifts.
Ensures timely delivery of packaging materials to production areas and maintains accurate records of materials issued to production.
Maintain good working relationships by constant communication with department employees, production supervisors, quality control, production scheduler, and department managers to ensure production supply needs are met.
Meet with Supplier Sales representatives for all companies to discuss quality issues and find opportunities to reduce costs through new products and efficiencies improvements.
Responsible for controlling rejected materials/supplies, returning to supplier and completing necessary documentation to ensure proper credit.
Resolve P&I issues by comparing, measuring and implementing processes or procedures.
Responsible for supporting and implementing strategic sourcing of packaging material from corporate strategic sourcing group.
High school Diploma or GED Required
1-3 supervisory experience.
Warehouse/Shipping Supervisory experience
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing tasks.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is required.
Proven computer literacy required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word and Excel). Knowledge of Maximo programs is preferred.
Excellent math skills required
Able to work holidays, flexible hours/overtime, and be on call as needed.
Bachelor degree (Business, Accounting, or related field)
