Our mission at the Allen Institute for Brain Science is to accelerate the understanding of how the human brain works in health and disease. Using a big science approach, we generate useful public resources, drive technological and analytical advances and discover fundamental brain properties through integration of experiments modeling and theory. The Allen Institute for Brain Science is embarking upon a large-scale experimental and computational effort to study brain development and neuropsychiatric disease using human genetics and stem cell technologies. This effort is intended to uncover fundamental principles of human brain development and to accelerate the development of diagnostics and treatments for neuropsychiatric disease by providing public data and collections of research tools.

To further these efforts, we are seeking a group of exceptional Investigators with experience equivalent to an assistant or associate professor at a first-class research university.
